Avaya Session Manager

Avaya’s Session Manager platform makes it possible to unify SIP-based architectures comprising media, networks, devices, applications, and other common infrastructure defining user experience.

But using Session Manager to monitor, manage, and diagnose SIP based architectures can be challenging. IT managers can fail to see application layer issues, they don’t have enough visibility to prevent outages, and rely on end-users to report problems.

VSM polls critical services at an application level to ensure they are responsive. VSM also checks the health of SIP entities (typically SIP trunk groups) to flag issues, traffic loads, and other conditions vital to overall user experience.

Use VSM’s Avaya Session Manager Dashlet to:

  • Proactively identify potential issues and prevent outages

  • Provide a real-time view of overall system health, without having to rely on end users to report problems

  • Reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) for service-impacting incidents
